According to a statement from the Governorship, an operation was launched by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams in order to capture 3 suspects who were found to be conducting illegal excavations in a region connected to the central district as part of activities aimed at protecting cultural and natural assets.
During the operation carried out by the teams, the 3 suspects were caught red-handed while conducting illegal excavations.
The suspects were taken into custody, and a gun and 26 pieces of excavation equipment were seized from them.
