Two young people in the town of Beyağaç, Olay, forgot to pull the hand brake of their car while sitting on the shore of Eşen Lake yesterday evening. The car started moving towards the lake and ended up submerged in the water.

The owner of the car asked for help from the fire department. The Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department’s underwater search and rescue teams, along with the Beyağaç branch office, arrived at the scene in the morning.

The underwater search and rescue teams were able to retrieve the car from the lake with the help of a tow truck connected to the vehicle by a rope. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of always engaging the handbrake when parking near bodies of water to prevent similar accidents from occurring in the future.
