However, no significant change in temperatures is expected in the southern regions of the country.
In Istanbul, strong local showers are expected starting from the evening hours. The Istanbul Regional Forecast and Early Warning Center of the Meteorology 1st Region Directorate stated that strong local showers and thunderstorms are expected in the city starting from the evening hours today. It is advised to be cautious and take precautions against possible hazards such as flooding, waterlogging, lightning, transportation disruptions, strong winds, and small-scale hail associated with the local rainfall expected to last until the morning hours tomorrow.
There is a storm warning for the Black Sea, Mediterranean, and Aegean Seas. According to the forecast from the General Directorate of Meteorology, in the Western Black Sea, strong to severe storms will blow from the west and northwest in the east and southwest direction on Tuesday, with wind speeds reaching 6 to 8 on the Beaufort scale, decreasing by Tuesday evening in the west and generally dissipating by Wednesday evening. In the Eastern Black Sea, strong winds blowing from the west and northwest at speeds of 6 to 8 on the Beaufort scale are expected to be effective until Tuesday afternoon.
In the southern part of the Southern Aegean, stormy winds blowing from the west and northwest at speeds of 6 to 8 on the Beaufort scale are expected to occur starting from Tuesday afternoon. The storm is expected to lose its effect in the early hours of Tuesday. In the Western Mediterranean, strong winds blowing from the west are expected to occur on Tuesday afternoon, followed by winds from the north and northwest in the Antalya Gulf in the evening at speeds of 6 to 8 on the Beaufort scale, dissipating in the west in the night and in the Antalya Gulf on Tuesday afternoon.
