TelevisaUnivision recently unveiled its 2024-2025 programming slate at its Casa Cultura upfront event in New York, highlighting its position as a Spanish-language media destination and a platform for advertisers to connect with Latino audiences. With a massive content lineup that celebrates Latino culture and voices, the company aims to be a critical agent for growth for brands looking to tap into this coveted consumer base. Donna Speciale, President of U.S. Advertising Sales and Marketing, emphasized the importance of connecting to Latin culture through TelevisaUnivision’s diverse range of platforms, including four leading networks, a streaming service, social media presence, radio stations, and more.

One of the key highlights of the presentation was the announcement that superstar Shakira’s new single “Puntería” will be the official song of TelevisaUnivision’s coverage of CONMEBOL Copa America 2024. The event will kick off on June 20 with a match between reigning champion Argentina and Canada, airing live on Univision and TUDN. Additionally, ViX streaming experienced a 70% year-over-year growth in the U.S. and now has 50 million global monthly active users. The platform will be launching a new ad-supported premium tier on May 15, offering expanded ad capabilities and interactivity. Celebrity production deals were also announced, including partnerships with producer Juanpa Zurita and actor William Levy for new projects.

TelevisaUnivision’s 2024-25 programming slate includes a variety of series on Univision, such as “La Historia de Juana,” a rom-com based on the English-language adaptation of Jane the Virgin, and “Papás Por Conveniencia,” a story about a single dad who discovers he is the father of his ex’s twins. Other series include “El Precio de Amarte,” a drama about love and justice, and the singing competition “¿Quién es la Máscara?” On UNIMÁS, viewers can look forward to shows like “Vence a las Estrellas,” a game show pitting contestants against a celebrity team, and “Enamorándonos,” a dating reality show. ViX will feature shows like “Chiquis Sin Filtro,” a docuseries following Chiquis’ life, and “Arcadia,” a thriller starring William Levy.

In addition to scripted series, TelevisaUnivision will also be airing live events such as the long-running Latin music awards show Premio Lo Nuestro, the youth-focused Premios Juventud, and the prestigious 25th Latin GRAMMYs. The company aims to continue providing a platform for Latino culture and voices, offering advertisers the opportunity to connect with passionate audiences through a wide range of programming and events.
