Teachers from Durankaya Beldesi Cumhuriyet Elementary and Middle School encountered a herd of small livestock on their way to the town center while heading to the village from the city center. The teachers quickly realized that the lambs were in danger of freezing due to the ongoing snow and blizzard in the region.
Fearing for the safety of the lambs, the teachers loaded the lambs onto their private vehicles and the school minibus to transport them to the school. Upon arriving at the school, the teachers took immediate action to prevent the lambs from freezing to death, showing great care and concern for the animals.
Not willing to see the lambs suffer, the teachers took it upon themselves to transport the animals to a warm environment by using their personal vehicles to bring them to the school. Once at the school, the teachers provided a room for the lambs to stay in until the weather conditions improved.
As the weather cleared up, the teachers decided it was safe to allow the lambs to roam outside in the school courtyard. The gesture of kindness and compassion shown by the teachers towards the animals did not go unnoticed.
The owner of the herd of animals extended his gratitude to the teachers for their selfless actions in rescuing the lambs from the freezing conditions. The teachers’ dedication and compassion in saving the animals from harm serve as an example of the strong sense of community and care that exists in Durankaya Beldesi.
