In Muş, the Road and Transportation Services Directorate of the Provincial Special Administration started work two days ago to open the Üçevler group village road, which provides access to 10 villages and 21 hamlets and is used as an alternative by villagers. The teams, who have been working for about 3 months on the 2,500-meter-high Çavuştepe location, where the road has been closed and the snow thickness has reached 7 meters in some places, have difficulty in making progress.

The teams, advancing as if opening a tunnel on the road, aim to open the road in 2 days. Excavator Operator Kerem Çakır stated that the snow thickness in the region reached 7 meters in some points. Çakır, who stated that they are making efforts to open the road in difficult conditions, said, “There is an avalanche risk here. We are conducting snow fighting work at Çavuştepe location of Üçevler group village road. Flowers are blooming in the valley right now, but we continue our snow fighting here. The snow is very hard. The machine sometimes struggles. We can open 2-3 kilometers a day. Work continues day and night. We are having difficulty in progress. This is one of the highest points of Muş.”
