A man’s headless body was found floating in Jamaica Bay near the Joseph P. Addabbo Memorial Bridge in Queens after the FDNY received a 911 call for a water rescue. Firefighters discovered that the body had been decapitated and a heavy police presence, including officers from the US Park Police, was seen combing the shore for clues. The identity and age of the dead man were not immediately known, and the investigation is ongoing.
