Sophie Turner, 28, shares her journey of motherhood, revealing that she initially had doubts about becoming a parent at a young age. She discovered she was pregnant with her oldest daughter, Willa, while on a retreat in Bali. After discussing it with therapists at the retreat, she eventually told her then-husband Joe Jonas, 34, about the pregnancy and they decided to keep the baby. Turner described how her perspective on motherhood changed on that day, despite her initial uncertainty about wanting to be a mother.

Turner and Jonas welcomed their first daughter, Willa, in July 2020, followed by their second daughter, Delphine, in July 2022. Turner expressed how watching her children grow up has been a miraculous experience for her, noting how quickly everything changes as they continue to grow. Turner also explained that their busy schedules led to the decision to have a second child, wanting their daughters to have each other and be able to bond while their parents were busy traveling. She described her daughters as “girlie girls” and “rays of sunshine” in her life, bringing joy and fun to her days.

Becoming a mother also had a positive impact on Turner’s relationship with her body, especially after struggling with an eating disorder. She shared how her therapist helped her see her body in a new light, appreciating its capabilities like breastfeeding and recovering postpartum. Turner expressed gratitude for her body’s strength and resilience, acknowledging the importance of taking care of oneself to support the demands of motherhood.

In September 2023, Jonas filed for divorce from Turner after four years of marriage, leading to a legal battle over custody of their daughters. Turner sued Jonas, requesting that the children return to the U.K. and claiming he was preventing them from traveling to England to be with her. The couple reached a temporary custody arrangement in October 2023, agreeing not to take the kids out of the U.S. while negotiations continued.

Turner, who has since moved on with aristocrat Peregrine Pearson, filed to reactivate the divorce case after their temporary custody agreement expired in March. Despite the legal proceedings, both Turner and Jonas are reportedly working towards an amicable resolution for the sake of their daughters. The couple’s focus remains on co-parenting and ensuring the well-being and happiness of their children amidst the challenges of divorce and custody disputes. Turner continues to navigate the complexities of motherhood, relationships, and personal growth while prioritizing the welfare of her family.
