The Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu announced on his social media account that simultaneous operations against the separatist terrorist organization were carried out in Adana, Diyarbakır, Mersin, Istanbul, Kırklareli, and Muğla by the provincial police departments coordinated by the Intelligence Directorate and Counter-Terrorism Department of the General Directorate of Security.

During the operations, 15 suspects were arrested, and a large number of digital materials were seized. The suspects were found to be attempting to block traffic by burning tires and throwing Molotov cocktails on behalf of the terrorist organization, engaging in activities in the overseas structure of the terrorist organization, chanting slogans in praise of the organization, participating in the terrorist group’s actions and activities abroad, and having definitive prison sentences and search records.

Minister Soylu expressed his appreciation for the heroic police officers who continue to work tirelessly 24/7, even during the holidays. He mentioned that their efforts are supported by the prayers of the people, and he sends his best regards to all law enforcement officers involved in the operations.

The operations against the separatist terrorist organization are part of the Turkish government’s ongoing efforts to maintain public safety and combat terrorism.
