Search and rescue operations are underway both from the air and on the ground to locate Hüseyin Piner and Yücel Coşkun, who set out to sea from the Karşıyaka Mahallesi.
Four boats, a land vehicle, and a helicopter belonging to the Coast Guard Command, along with 6 boats and 5 land vehicles from AFAD and 4 land vehicles and a sea police boat from the gendarmerie, police, and health institutions, are participating in the ongoing search and rescue operation with a total of 67 personnel from Yalova and surrounding cities.
Yalova Governor Hülya Kaya also visited the port area where the searches are being conducted, gathering information from officials and meeting with the families of the missing two individuals.
Hüseyin Piner and Yücel Coşkun set out to sea with a 2-person canoe from the Dereağzı location on August 25th and went missing in the Tavşantepe region while heading towards the Bozburun location. The Coast Guard Command had located the canoe in question during the search and rescue efforts.
