Sean “Diddy” Combs was intercepted by federal agents at an airport following a raid at his Los Angeles and Miami homes. In footage obtained by TMZ, he is seen speaking to law enforcement officials at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. His friend Brendan Paul was arrested on drug charges after drugs suspected to be cocaine and marijuana edibles were found in his bag. It was reported that the exchange between Diddy and the federal agents took place just before Paul’s arrest.

The drugs that Paul was arrested with have not been linked to Diddy, who was later seen pacing outside the Customs office at the airport. Law enforcement officers in LA and Miami seized Diddy’s phones and computers as part of a federal sex trafficking investigation. Diddy’s two sons, Justin and King Combs, were detained but not arrested in relation to the probe. Similar raids were expected to take place in New York and Chicago according to Homeland Security Investigations.

Diddy’s attorney criticized the federal authorities for using “military-level force” during the search of his properties. The hip hop mogul is being investigated for sex trafficking, which his attorney dismissed as a “witch hunt”. Diddy cooperated with authorities but was not arrested or charged. His attorney clarified that his travel was not restricted in any way despite the ongoing investigation.

The raids at Diddy’s properties were conducted by the Homeland Security Investigations Human Trafficking Task Force based on a search warrant issued by the Southern District of New York. The rapper’s private jet was reported to have disappeared along with him on Tuesday following the raid. Despite the investigation and the raids on his homes, Diddy’s whereabouts remained unknown and questions lingered about his involvement in the federal sex trafficking probe. Further details were expected to be provided by Homeland Security Investigations as the investigation progressed.
