Rudy Giuliani, the former Mayor of New York City, has claimed that he was fired from his daily show on WABC radio in order to please President Biden, who he referred to as a “trailer trash little creep.” He accused the station of creating a hostile work environment and limiting his ability to speak freely about what he believes to be a stolen 2020 presidential election. Giuliani criticized station owner John Catsimatidis for preventing him from “telling the truth” and claimed that the actions taken against him were a violation of free speech rights.

Giuliani stated that Catsimatidis had instituted a policy preventing discussion of the alleged stolen election, which Giuliani believed was hypocritical given the station’s supposed dedication to free speech. He argued that preventing him from discussing the election was hindering his ability to do his job, especially at a time when there are concerns about potential election interference. Despite receiving a written warning about the policy, Giuliani claims he was never informed of its existence and that his show had always focused on discussing the election.

Catsimatidis, on the other hand, stated that Giuliani had been warned about violating the policy but chose to ignore it, leading to his dismissal from the radio station. The billionaire owner defended his decision, claiming that Giuliani had only himself to blame for failing to adhere to the guidelines. Giuliani, in response, accused Catsimatidis of firing him in an attempt to curry favor with the Democrats and suggested that the Biden administration was involved in his dismissal.

In addition to Giuliani, his co-host Dr. Maria Ryan was also let go from WABC radio. Giuliani alleged that Ryan had been mistreated and encouraged her to sue the station for creating a hostile work environment. Furthermore, Giuliani faced financial setbacks due to mounting legal bills associated with criminal cases in Arizona and Georgia related to attempting to overturn the 2020 election. Additionally, he is facing civil cases brought by voting machine firms and a former associate who accused him of sexual assault.

Giuliani’s firing from WABC radio adds to a series of challenges he has faced in recent years. His law license was suspended in New York City in 2021, and he faces potential disbarment for his actions, which were deemed to have denigrated the legal profession. Despite these setbacks, Giuliani continues to maintain his stance on the 2020 election and has vowed to keep speaking out on the topic, regardless of the consequences. The controversy surrounding his firing highlights the ongoing debate over free speech rights and the boundaries of political discourse in media.
