A woman named Gisselle Victoria-Gonzalez from Florida has been charged with murdering her 42-year-old roommate, Runyleidy Medina-Pacheco, who went missing in Orlando on Christmas Day in 2022. Victoria-Gonzalez was arrested in Connecticut and charged with second-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence, and grand theft in connection to the disappearance. Despite nearly two years passing since Medina-Pacheco was last seen, her body has still not been found according to the Orlando Police Department.

The case began when Victoria-Gonzalez contacted police on December 27, 2022, claiming she had not seen her roommate in two days. However, as the investigation progressed, detectives discovered significant inconsistencies in Victoria-Gonzalez’s account of events. A search warrant was executed at the residence where the two women lived, and evidence was found suggesting a violent incident had taken place.

After an extensive investigation that involved multiple law enforcement agencies at local, state, and federal levels, it was determined that Victoria-Gonzalez had relocated to Hartford, Connecticut. Orlando police traveled to her new residence and, after an interview, decided they had enough evidence to charge her with Medina-Pacheco’s death. She was taken into custody following the interview. A video posted by OPD shows Victoria-Gonzalez being led down a hallway in a red dress by officers during her arrest.

Authorities have not provided additional details about the circumstances surrounding Medina-Pacheco’s disappearance. The case remains ongoing as law enforcement continues to search for more information and evidence related to the murder. The victim’s body has still not been located, and it is unclear what led to the violent incident that resulted in her death. Victoria-Gonzalez is currently facing serious charges related to the murder of her roommate, and the legal process will proceed as more information comes to light.
