Donald Trump welcomed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. onstage during his rally in Arizona and noted that Kennedy ran an “extraordinary campaign.” Trump said Kennedy would have a huge influence on the campaign and announced plans to establish a commission on assassination attempts in honor of Kennedy’s father and uncle who were assassinated. The commission would release remaining documents on the 1963 presidential assassination. Kennedy, a longtime anti-vaccine advocate, discussed issues such as safe food and ending the chronic disease epidemic that he believes “bind us together.”

Despite past criticisms from Trump, the alliance between him and Kennedy marks a new phase in their relationship. Kennedy has called Trump a discredit to democracy in the past, while Trump labeled Kennedy as a “phony radical left fool” and a “liberal lunatic.” However, their differences seemed to be set aside as Kennedy endorsed Trump during the rally in Phoenix, announcing his suspension of the presidential campaign and withdrawal from battleground states. Some of Kennedy’s supporters in Arizona have indicated they will now back Trump in the upcoming election due to Kennedy’s involvement in the campaign.

Bruce Brimacombe, a resident of Scottsdale, expressed his intention to vote for Trump because of Kennedy’s endorsement. He believes that Kennedy’s involvement in Trump’s campaign could lead to positive changes that he supports. Similarly, Trump supporter Casey Westerman from Chandler plans to vote for Trump again, as he trusts Kennedy and feels confident in his decision to support Trump. The partnership between Trump and Kennedy has generated support from individuals who were originally planning to vote differently in the upcoming election.

The relationship between Trump and Kennedy, which was previously marked by criticism and opposition, has shifted as Kennedy endorsed Trump during the rally in Phoenix. Despite their past disagreements, Kennedy’s supporters in Arizona have shown their support for Trump following Kennedy’s involvement in the campaign. The endorsement from Kennedy has influenced some voters, like Bruce Brimacombe and Casey Westerman, to switch their support from Kennedy to Trump in the upcoming election. This new alliance between Trump and Kennedy has caused some voters to reevaluate their choices and back Trump for president.
