Bronx Democratic Rep. Ritchie Torres rejected a backhanded apology from luxury real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, father of supermodels Bella and Gigi Hadid, for multiple hateful and homophobic messages.

After The Post broke the news of Hadid’s series of screeds against Torres (D-NY), the developer put out a statement saying “I need to apologize” to the rep before chastising him as “a shill being used by Israel.”

“Mohamed Hadid’s so-called ‘apology’ is as fraudulent as the man himself. Hadid has been unmasked as a rabid racist to the core, and his pitiful attempt at a ‘mea culpa’ is fooling no one,” Torres fired back on X.

“You worse than the rats of New York sewage system. They have bigger brains than you. You might get a job as bouncer at gay bar,” Hadid, 75, wrote to Torres in one of the Instagram messages.

Torres, 36, became the first openly gay African American and Hispanic member of Congress when he won his election in 2021.

“Make sure you dress as KKK to hide that ugly gray colored face of yours,” Hadid further taunted. “I know about Bronx.”

Hadid, who was born into a Palestinian Muslim family, has been deeply critical of Israel’s war against Hamas which was triggered by the terror organization’s bloody Oct. 7, 2023 attack that killed roughly 1,200.

“I need to apologize. Not for the anger I feel but for the words I used to express that anger. I intended to express how Mr Torres is a shill being used by Israel,” Hadid wrote Saturday on social media.

“I used the wrong words to express this anger but the anger is warranted,” he went on, describing Israel as “a state that not only mistreats black and brown people but pinkwashes their atrocities.”

“My feeling after 76 years of being a refugee from the country where I and my ancestors were born and watching a genocide unfold are at an all time high.”

Torres has emerged as one of the most outspoken defenders of the Jewish state among Democrats in Congress, despite progressive backlash.

Shortly after the bloody Oct. 7, 2023 massacre, Hadid likened Israel’s policies to those of the Nazis.

Like their father, Bella and Gigi Hadid, have also backed the Palestinian cause. The developer is reportedly residing in a $4.5 million “cottage” in Beverly Hills.
