“Real Housewives of Potomac” star Karen Huger called herself Thomas Jefferson’s “concubine” moments after she was arrested for DUI in March, according to new bodycam footage.
In videos obtained by Fox 5 DC Thursday morning, the Bravolebrity could be seen struggling to speak and even admitting to being “drunk” after crashing her Maserati off the side of the road.
In one particular clip, the 61-year-old is sitting in an interrogation room with a police officer who is asking her questions about the incident.
“So, what’s your point, sir? I’m sorry, It’s not you. I’m drunk, I’m extremely intelligent,” she tells him while slumped in her seat. “And I’m Thomas Jefferson’s concubine.”
It’s unclear why Huger was discussing the late third President of the United States since she quickly switched gears and asked the officer what he “wants.”
In another clip taken before her interrogation, Huger could be seen talking to another officer while being driven in his squad car to the station.
“I’m Karen. They call me the Grande Dame,” she tells the officer in the video, referencing the nickname most Bravo fans know her by.
The officer –– who didn’t know who she was before her arrest –– appears confused and asks, “The Grande Dame?”
“I don’t know what the f–k that’s about,” she responds with a giggle. “Andy [Cohen] coined that. Andy coined that. He called me the Grande Dame.”
The two eventually arrived at the police station where the officer tried to help her out of the car.
“You know I hate you right,” Huger tells the officer as he unbuckles her seatbelt.
Huger then requests he take off the handcuffs, to which he replies that he could not do that.
“Do you know who I am?” she asks him as the officer says he does “not.”
In the clip, The officer continues helping Huger safely get out of the car before she stumbles up the steps and says, “Oh God, I’m lit.”
A final video shows Karen standing outside of the crash with her husband, Raymond A. Huger, who asks she “not do a lot of talking at this point.”
“I’m Karen Huger,” she then says while shaking the officer’s hand.
The mom of two then tries talking about where she was coming from, but she just mumbles and looks down at the ground.
The footage was released after she was found guilty of DUI on Wednesday, facing up to two years in prison.
Huger has not addressed the verdict, but her attorney, A. Scott Bolden, told People they were “disappointed in the jury’s verdict.”
“We of course respect their decision and appreciate their time hearing our case,” he told the outlet.
“We continue to reserve Mrs. Huger’s right to an appeal and intend to fully pursue justice on her behalf. We appreciate your support and prayers for Mrs. Huger and her family at this time.”
