Nikki Glaser is reflecting on her overnight success after stealing the show during The Roast of Tom Brady in May.
“It was a life-changing performance. One of those things that you’re sort of like, you just never think it’s gonna happen but everything changes after. The next day, I was in line places and seeing my face on people’s phones,” Glaser, 40, said on the Thursday, December 12, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
In fact, the attention on Glaser was so stratospheric following the May 5 Netflix broadcast that she felt like a certain pop superstar.
“I felt like Taylor Swift for a couple of days. I felt that level [of fame],” Glaser quipped.

Since roasting the former NFL quarterback, Glaser has booked some huge comedy gigs, including the upcoming Golden Globes on January 5, 2025.
“Life changed after the roast,” she said later in the interview. “A theater tour, numerable dates on my tour, which is so fun.”
In May, Glaser infamously took aim at Brady in a savage roast that mocked his divorce from model Gisele Bündchen and his $30 million cryptocurrency loss. “You have seven rings. Well, eight now that Gisele gave hers back,” she quipped at one point.
Following the release of the Netflix special, Brady, 47, shared his regrets about taking part in the roast due to the effect the jokes about his rocky relationships had on his kids. (Brady and Bündchen, 44, share son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 12. The quarterback also shares son John “Jack” Edward Thomas Moynahan, 17, with his ex Bridget Moynahan.)

“I loved when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun,” Brady told “The Pivot Podcast” in May. “I didn’t like the way that affected my kids. So it’s the hardest part about, like, the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way, and then all of a sudden you realize I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that affected, actually, the people that I care about most in the world.”
Speaking on the “Fresh Air” podcast in July, Glaser responded to Brady’s comments, “In terms of Tom Brady … because he said yes to it, it’s kind of like, unless you tell me things are off limits, I’m going to go there. I have license. I have your consent. … I can’t believe the places my mind will go to.”
In May, she also said on Today With Hoda & Jenna, “I feel maybe he didn’t consider the backlash from his family and how it would affect them, and I do understand that.”
