Hailee Steinfeld is peeling back the curtain on her “most magical” engagement to Josh Allen — but not all the way.

In the latest issue of her Beau Society newsletter, the 27-year-old pop star “thought it would be fun to introduce” her readers to her “FIANCÉ, Mr. Josh Allen officially!”

Steinfeld explained that the NFL star, 28, “was a real sport when [she] sat him down to answer 17 random (+ some proposal-related) questions,” which she went on to share as part of a “mini fiancé Q&A.”

The singer asked Allen about “the funniest/craziest thing that happened on the day [they] got engaged,” which was Nov. 22.

He replied, “The funniest thing was that we woke up and were getting ready for brunch and you jumped on the bed and said, ‘Can we get married already?!? What are you waiting for??!’ I replied, ‘Just give me a little more time.’ Little did you know I was about to propose to you…”

Noting that the Buffalo Bills quarterback “seemed so chill” that day, Steinfeld asked how “nervous” he was to pop the question.

“I was very nervous,” he confessed.

“I think I was most nervous about you finding out about the proposal. It was hard to keep secrets from you and have other people in your life keep secrets from you. Then multiple times throughout the day a song would come on and I would tear up thinking about how special our day was going to be.”

The actress — who admittedly “black[ed] out” during the waterfront proposal, which featured a flower arch and an array of candles — wondered whether Allen “remember[ed] what [he] said when [he was] down on one knee.”

He responded affirmatively, sharing, “I said I couldn’t wait any longer. I said I can’t wait to start a family with you. I said your full name, and I asked you very nicely. I said please.”

When asked how he “felt immediately after,” the football player said “relieved” that he “didn’t blow it nor did anyone else.”

“You were extremely surprised, you said yes, and that was all that mattered to me,” he elaborated, “And the sun was out.”

As for how it “feel[s] to be engaged,” Allen gushed, “It feels unbelievable to be engaged to someone who is so special and loving and caring and gorgeous and fun and happy…I can keep going if you want me to keep going…”

Steinfeld lovingly “cut [him] off” but promised her readers she’d eventually “go deeper with the details.”

The lovebirds were first linked in May 2023 but waited until July of this year to make their relationship Instagram-official.
