Donald Trump’s supporters claimed Rod Stewart’s recent bout with strep throat is “karma” for mocking the former president’s complexion.

The “Maggie May” singer took to Instagram Wednesday to announce that he was “absolutely gutted” to cancel his 200th Las Vegas residency show hours before he was due on stage.

“I’m desperately sorry to miss this 200th show celebration,” Stewart, 79, wrote.

“Most people can work with strep throat but obviously not me. I’m absolutely gutted. I’ve been looking forward to this concert for so long,” he continued.

“My deepest regrets for any inconvenience this has caused.”

While many fans wished the Grammy winner a speedy recovery, some seized the opportunity to troll Stewart after he made fun of Trump, 78, during a concert.

“Love u Rod but seems you got karma from your orange comment🤷🏻‍♀️ #wakeup,” one person wrote.

“No worries Rod since you’ve politically come out of the closet. TRUMP 2024,” another commented.

“I thought this was going to be an apology about Trump! #disappointed,” a third posted.

The backlash comes days after the British musician poked fun of Trump while performing onstage in Las Vegas.

He immediately sparked outrage by projecting a tweet calling out the Republican presidential candidate’s evolving skin color.

“I didn’t know he was Orange until a number of years ago, when he happened to turn Orange,” the caption read, referencing Trump’s recent comments about Kamala Harris’ race.

“I respect either one, but he obviously doesn’t because all of a sudden he made a turn and he went — he became an Orange person. I think somebody should look into that.”

Meanwhile, the news of Stewart’s strep throat diagnosis comes shortly after he acknowledged that his “days are numbered.”

“We have all got to pass on at some point, so we are all in the same basket,” he told the US Sun in an interview published last month.

“I am going to be enjoying myself for these last few years as much as I can. I say few — probably another 15. I can do that easy mate, easy,” he added.

But the rocker, who is married to Penny Lancaster, confirmed that his hard-partying lifestyle is a thing of the past.

“I’m not like I was in the ’70s and ’80s and I can’t stay up all night, get drunk and go mad and still have a voice just like that. Nowadays, I have to protect my voice before and after every show,” he confessed.

Stewart, who has survived bouts with both prostate and thyroid cancer, also shared that he’s now more conscious of his health than before.

“You should be when you start getting on a bit. It’s very important. I am a bit of a hypochondriac. I think men in particular should take advantage of all the wonderful medical science out there,” he explained.

“When I come back to the UK, I am going to have my blood cleaned as I’ve been told it is a real boost to the system.”

However, the “Forever Young” singer, who was knighted in 2016, promised he’s not on any medication.

“I’m not on any pills. No, nothing. You’ve got to remember I’ve been doing this all my life — I don’t suffer after a show.Sometimes I take an anti-inflammatory if my knee is playing up but very rarely. I don’t need pills,” he said.
