Dick Van Dyke doesn’t plan to go all out for his 99th birthday.

The legendary actor made an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin on Thursday to promote their “All My Love” music video, which will premiere on his birthday, Dec. 13.

When asked what he has in the works for the big day, Van Dyke simply said, “Hide out. Just going to hide out.”

“My kids will probably come over, though,” he added after saying he did not think he would have a party.

The “Mary Poppins” star also quipped that he was feeling “very old,” adding with a laugh, “Dementia. I get dementia once in a while. Like right now, I think I’m on the Jimmy Kimmel show.”

Van Dyke continued to joke about his age, pointing out that he is “old enough to be Joe Biden’s father.”

The outgoing president is 82 years old, making him the oldest person to be inaugurated.

Van Dyke has four children, some of whom are approaching Biden’s age: Christian, 74, Barry, 73, Stacy, 69, and Carrie Beth, 62.

During the interview, Kimmel further inquired about the secret to reaching Van Dyke’s age, to which the “Dick Van Dyke Show” star replied, “I don’t know, I have no idea!”

He did, however, mention that he still goes to the gym and believes people should “just keep moving.”

This was the first time Van Dyke has made a public appearance since opting out of attending the 2024 Emmys at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles in September.

He had also canceled an appearance at the FanX event in Salt Lake City scheduled from Sept. 26 to 28.

Amid concern for his health, a paparazzo managed to catch up with Van Dyke as he ran some errands at the time.

“I’m pretty old,” he said, adding that he was “just praying that [he makes] it” to his 99th birthday.
