Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau jetted off to Florida on Friday to meet with Donald Trump, days after the president-elect threatened to impose new tariffs on Canada.

A Royal Canadian Air Force plane used by Trudeau arrived at Palm Beach International Airport at about 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Trudeau, 52, will reportedly be having dinner with Trump, 78, at his Mar-a-Lago estate, according to CBC News and the Associated Press.

Canada’s Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc is also traveling with Trudeau, the outlets reported.

The Canadian prime minister’s press office and the Trump-Vance transition team did not immediately respond to The Post’s requests for comment.

On Monday, Trump vowed to impose a 25% tariff on imports from Canada unless the country cracked down on illegal immigration and drug smuggling.

“On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders,” Trump declared.

The president-elect noted that the tariff will “remain in effect until such time as Drugs, in particular Fentanyl, and all Illegal Aliens stop this Invasion of our Country!”

Trudeau spoke with Trump by phone shortly after the threat in what he described as a “good call.”

“We obviously talked about … how the intense and effective connections between our two countries flow back and forth. We talked about some of the challenges we can work on together,” Trudeau told reporters.

Trudeau met with the premiers of Canada’s 10 provinces on Wednesday to discuss US relations and strategy in the aftermath of Trump’s tariff threat.

Trump’s warning was widely understood by his allies to be a bargaining tactic.

The 45th president promised to levy additional tariffs on Mexico and China as well — over border security and drug trafficking concerns — and on Wednesday, Trump revealed that Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum phoned him to say that she has “agreed to stop Migration through Mexico, and into the United States.”
