A statement made by AKOM announced that after noon today, the wind blowing from the north is expected to reach speeds of 30 to 60 kilometers per hour, causing temperatures to decrease suddenly by 8 to 10 degrees. It was also mentioned that local thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rainfall are expected, and the rainy weather is expected to lose its effect after nightfall, giving way to sunny summer days starting tomorrow. The statement warned that summer rains usually fall in the form of heavy thunderstorm showers accompanied by strong winds for 7 to 15 minutes, which could lead to pooling on roads and flooding in low-lying areas.

As for the weather during the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday, the country is expected to be mostly sunny with few clouds overall, although the Black Sea region may experience occasional rainfall. The slight decrease in temperatures expected tomorrow is forecasted to rise again during the holiday. According to the latest evaluations by the Turkish State Meteorological Service, today’s forecast includes partly cloudy weather in the central and western parts of the country, with local showers and thunderstorms expected in the north and east of Marmara, northern and western parts of Central Anatolia, western and central Black Sea, as well as the surroundings of Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya, Isparta, and the eastern parts of Burdur. Other areas are expected to have few clouds and clear skies.

The forecast predicts that rainfall will be locally heavy in the north and east of Marmara and the western Black Sea. Strong winds are expected to blow from the west and southwest in the Inner Aegean, southern Marmara, the Lakes Region, and the surroundings of Eskişehir in the afternoon, reaching speeds of 50-70 km/h and occasionally up to 80 km/h. Tomorrow, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide, with sunny conditions in the inland and southern regions, rainy weather in the southeast of Marmara, the Black Sea region, the northern and western parts of Eastern Anatolia, and the northeastern part of Central Anatolia. On the coasts of the Black Sea, heavy rainfall is anticipated.

On the first day of Eid al-Adha, the country will experience mostly sunny weather, with scattered clouds and rain in the coastal areas of the Black Sea region. Temperature values are expected to be around 30 degrees in Ankara and Istanbul, 34 in Antalya, 36 in Izmir, 39 in Diyarbakir, 36 in Adana, 26 in Samsun, and 29 in Erzurum. On the second day of the holiday, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide, with very cloudy conditions in the inner parts of Western Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia, and the eastern part of Central Anatolia, and rainy weather in the central parts of the Black Sea and the north of Eastern Anatolia. The third day of the holiday is predicted to be mostly sunny throughout the country, with rainy weather in the Eastern Black Sea region. The fourth day of the holiday will see mostly sunny weather nationwide, with partly to mostly cloudy conditions in the Inner and Northern Eastern Anatolia and the Black Sea region, and rain in the inner parts of Central and Eastern Black Sea, as well as Denizli, Afyonkarahisar, and Isparta. The highest temperature values expected during the holiday will be around 32 degrees in Ankara and Istanbul, 37 in Izmir, 39 in Antalya, 38 in Adana, 40 in Diyarbakir, 28 in Samsun, and 30 in Erzurum.
