Queen Camilla revealed that she watches the popular Netflix show Bridgerton during a visit to the 2024 Chelsea Flower Show in London. The show’s garden design, inspired by the character Penelope Featherington, was sponsored by Netflix and designed by Holly Johnson. Camilla, 76, mentioned that she had watched the first part of Bridgerton, with the final episodes set to premiere in June.

The Bridgerton Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show was created to reflect Penelope’s personal journey, with elements symbolizing mystery, turmoil, and personal growth. The garden features a moongate leading to a water feature and seating area, as well as sections representing darker themes and brighter colors. Queen Camilla and King Charles III were given a special tour of the Flower Show before it opened to the public, exploring various themed gardens including one designed by children from Sulivan Primary School in London.

The royal couple also visited the ‘No Adults Allowed’ Garden designed by Harry Holding and children from Sulivan Primary School, marking the first time a garden designed by children has been featured at the Chelsea Flower Show. King Charles III, who recently resumed his public duties after undergoing cancer treatment, interacted with the schoolchildren and emphasized the joy of growing and eating their own produce.

Queen Camilla and King Charles III’s visit to the Chelsea Flower Show showcased their support for the event and their interest in the various garden designs on display. The royal couple’s engagement with the Bridgerton-inspired garden and children’s designs highlighted the connection between nature, creativity, and community. The visit also provided a glimpse into the personal interests and activities of the royal family, including the Queen’s enjoyment of popular culture like Bridgerton.
