A disturbing incident at a Kansas steakhouse involved a worker admitting to tainting food served to customers multiple times, including acts like placing his genitals on salmon, urinating in pickles and au jus sauce, and putting lettuce down his pants, posting videos of his actions online. 21-year-old Jace Christian Hanson worked at Hereford House before being caught by local police. Inspired by men on dating apps and fetish sites, some of his acts were based on their requests.

The FBI was alerted to possible food contamination at the restaurant, providing detectives with video thumbnails showing a male urinating in food containers and using various food items in offensive ways. Videos were posted online with disturbing titles. Concerned about unsuspecting customers being served contaminated food, the FBI tracked Hanson’s location to the restaurant parking lot, based on his phone signal. Through investigation and recognition of his shoes, Hanson was identified as the perpetrator.

Hanson admitted to contaminating food by urinating on it, rubbing it on himself, and shoving food down his pants before serving it to customers more than 20 times. He also communicated with men on dating apps to fulfill their requests for violated food items. Despite initially not liking his job, Hanson continued to commit these acts, even after developing an enjoyment for his work. Although he denied putting bodily fluids on food products, he admitted to returning lettuce to the storage tray after placing it down his pants.

The restaurant, Hereford House, expressed their distress over the situation, stating it was upsetting for customers and all connected to the establishment. Longtime patrons were devastated by the news, with one customer falling ill after dining there, likely due to consuming contaminated food. Hanson was arrested on felony charges and is currently out on bond, awaiting his court date in early June. The Leawood Police Department is seeking individuals who dined at the restaurant between March 26 and April 23 and subsequently became ill, with over 140 people coming forward.

The incident has caused a loss of trust among patrons, with one customer stating that it was a betrayal of their loyalty to the restaurant. The community has shown support, and Hereford House looks forward to continuing to serve everyone. Hanson’s actions have raised concerns about food safety and the trustworthiness of restaurant staff. The court proceedings will determine the consequences for Hanson’s actions and address the impact on those affected by the tainted food. Leawood, where the restaurant is located, is a community about 10 miles from Kansas City, Missouri.
