Paris Hilton recently revealed the meaningful reason behind choosing the middle name Marilyn for her daughter, London, five months after welcoming their baby girl via surrogate with husband, Carter Reum. She explained on her “I Am Paris” podcast that she wanted to honor her grandmother, Marilyn J. Hilton, whom she loved dearly. Additionally, their son, Phoenix, received his middle name, Barron, in honor of her late grandfather Barron Hilton. Paris expressed her love for both Marilyn Monroe and her grandparents in choosing the middle names for her children.

Marilyn and Barron Hilton were a close couple who had been married since 1947 until Marilyn’s death in 2004, followed by Barron’s passing in 2019. The couple had eight children, including Paris’ father, Rick Hilton. Paris also shared her dream of having a daughter named after her favorite city, London, emphasizing how much she adored the name and its uniqueness. She mentioned that the names Paris and London sounded cute together and were meaningful to her as well.

Paris discussed the significance of London’s birthday falling on Nov. 11, a date that holds great importance to her as she and Carter were married on that day, her media company is called 11:11 Media, and she makes a wish every day at 11:11. She felt that it was magical and special for her daughter to be born on that date, calling it the perfect birthday for her little princess. Paris also noticed similarities between London and her sister, Nicky Hilton, describing how the baby reminded her so much of Nicky when looking at her baby pictures.

Paris Hilton recently shared the first photos of London’s face on social media, expressing her gratitude for her daughter’s presence and cherishing every moment spent with her. She mentioned how both London and Phoenix, her son, had shown her a love that she never knew could run so deep until she became their mother. Paris and Carter surprised fans by announcing the arrival of their second child on Thanksgiving in 2023, just a year after getting married. They had also kept Phoenix’s birth a secret until they revealed he was born via surrogate in January 2023, sharing a photo of him a month later despite facing negativity from online trolls.

Despite facing bullying comments about Phoenix’s head size after sharing his photo, Paris was heartbroken by the cruelty of some people and defended her son’s health and well-being online. She expressed her love and protection for her children while maintaining their privacy and focusing on the joy they brought into her life. Paris Hilton continues to share her motherhood journey and the love she has for her children, reflecting on her own childhood dreams and the importance of family connections in choosing meaningful names for her daughter and son.
