Seattle-based startup Osyte recently announced a $4 million seed round to further expand its software offerings for investors managing multi-asset portfolios. The fintech company is focused on streamlining and automating investment operations through tools for portfolio monitoring, risk analytics, rebalance optimization, and more. Osyte’s target customers include outsourced chief investment officers, multi-family offices, single family offices, and institutional limited partners, who deal with both liquid and illiquid assets across public and private markets.

Co-founded by Charles Anselm and Sellappa Gopalaswamy, Osyte has a strong focus on improving the cumbersome and manual processes for investment allocation decisions that Anselm observed during his time at Russell Investments. Anselm, who serves as the CEO of Osyte, has extensive experience in senior portfolio management roles overseeing billions in institutional capital for various types of investors. He highlighted Osyte’s current focus on liquidity management automation for alternatives and private market investments as a core client problem that the company aims to solve.

Osyte is well-positioned to take advantage of the trend towards the democratization of private markets, which has led to increased access to private assets for a broader range of individuals. In addition to Anselm’s background in portfolio management, co-founder Sellappa Gopalaswamy brings valuable experience from founding cloud companies Qloudable and Sysgain. The $4 million seed round was led by Folsom, Calif.-based venture firm Moneta Ventures, with participation from Six Thirty Ventures, Altari Ventures, Tacoma Venture Fund, and Sigmas Group Family Office. As a result of the funding, Ashu Bhalla, a partner at Moneta Ventures, will be joining Osyte’s board to provide guidance and support.

With its suite of tools designed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in managing multi-asset portfolios, Osyte is well-positioned to meet the needs of its target customers in the investment management space. By leveraging technology to automate processes such as portfolio monitoring, risk analytics, and rebalance optimization, Osyte aims to provide a competitive edge for its customers in navigating the complexities of today’s investment landscape. The company’s focus on serving a diverse range of clients, from family offices to institutional investors, demonstrates its commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the market.

As the demand for streamlined and automated investment operations continues to grow, Osyte stands out as a promising player in the fintech space. The company’s emphasis on addressing the challenges of liquidity management and private market investments reflects a keen understanding of the pain points faced by investors in today’s market environment. With a strong leadership team and the backing of investors such as Moneta Ventures, Osyte is poised for further growth and success in the coming years. By providing innovative solutions for managing multi-asset portfolios, Osyte is contributing to the ongoing transformation of the investment management industry.
