Six people in Karaman were detained as part of an investigation into the FETÖ terrorist organization. These individuals were found to be in communication with high-level members of the organization abroad and were providing financial support to the members of the organization with money belonging to the terrorist group.
The Provincial Security Directorate’s Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch teams conducted simultaneous operations at identified addresses, resulting in the arrest of five individuals in the city center, while one person was caught trying to flee abroad at the border.
During the search of the suspects’ homes and workplaces, a sum of money identified as being used in the terrorist organization’s activities, organizational documents, and digital materials were seized.
After the necessary procedures, H.K, H.P, and C.G. were arrested by the petty criminal court, while the others were released pending trial.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are continuing their efforts to uncover and dismantle the FETÖ terrorist group’s network in the region. The detained individuals will face legal proceedings for their involvement in supporting the terrorist organization.
