The Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Unit teams conducted a search on a truck stopped at a checkpoint on the Ankara road as part of their efforts to combat smuggling.
During the search, 5 million 410 thousand smuggled empty macaron packages were found in 541 boxes.
The suspect has been taken into custody and legal proceedings have been initiated against him.
