Kanye West is facing a new lawsuit filed by his former employee Trevor Phillips, who worked for the rapper’s design company and the now-closed Donda Academy. Phillips claims he faced discrimination, harassment, and retaliation while working for Kanye. The lawsuit alleges that Kanye threatened to shave the heads of Donda Academy students and lock them in cages. The exclusive Christian private school, started by Kanye in 2022, required students and employees to sign NDAs to prevent them from discussing the school.

In the lawsuit, Philips accuses Kanye of creating a toxic learning environment for students by engaging in anti-Semitic rants and making discriminatory remarks. Kanye allegedly told students he wanted to shave their heads and planned to put a jail at the school. Phillips is seeking special damages exceeding $35,000, attorneys’ fees, and an injunction to prevent Kanye from opening future schools for students under 18 in California. The lawsuit also accuses Kanye of making anti-Semitic comments, discriminating against Black employees, and engaging in inappropriate conduct at Donda Academy.

Phillips claims that Kanye showed “apparent arousal” to employees and engaged in inappropriate behavior during a meeting meant to discuss the school’s curriculum. He alleges that despite being a Black man, Kanye treated Black employees worse than white employees. In one incident, Kanye reportedly ordered a Black campus security guard to shave his dreads or be fired, leading to the guard’s resignation. Phillips also accuses Kanye of making anti-Semitic comments during a dinner in 2022, praising Adolf Hitler and denying the Holocaust, leading to his lawyer condemning Kanye’s messages of discrimination and antisemitism.

The lawsuit highlights Kanye’s offensive rants, discriminatory behavior, and inappropriate conduct at Donda Academy. Phillips’ lawyer hopes the lawsuit will vindicate their clients’ rights and send a message to Kanye that his messages of discrimination have no place in the world. Kanye’s representatives have not yet responded to the allegations. The lawsuit sheds light on the contentious environment at Donda Academy, revealing disturbing behavior and comments allegedly made by Kanye during his time at the exclusive school. The allegations paint a troubling picture of Kanye’s treatment of students and employees at the academy.
