Former President Donald Trump has announced the release of a new book titled “Save America,” which is a collection of pictures, anecdotes, and reminiscences from his presidential campaigns and term in office. In the book, Trump defends his 2018 summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, calling it a “GREAT meeting” despite widespread criticism. He also threatens to imprison Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg if he makes a similar donation to election offices in 2020. The book includes photos of Trump with sports stars, world leaders, and his supporters.

Trump’s book, set to be released on September 3, contains reflections on various events during his presidency, including an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania where he felt “very safe” with God on his side. The former president also takes aim at Zuckerberg, accusing him of plotting against him by donating over $400 million to election offices in 2020, which Trump claims contributed to his loss in the presidential election. He warns Zuckerberg and others against cheating in the 2024 Presidential Election, threatening them with imprisonment.

In addition to criticizing Zuckerberg, Trump also takes aim at his rivals, such as Liz Cheney, the former congresswoman from Wyoming. Cheney, who criticized Trump’s behavior on January 6, was ousted by a Trump-backed challenger during the 2022 primary. Trump’s book also includes musings on foreign leaders, where he praises authoritarians like Xi Jinping and Putin while criticizing traditional U.S. allies like NATO and the European Union. Despite facing strong criticism for his approach during his presidency, Trump defends his relationship with Putin in the book.

During the Helsinki summit, Trump faced backlash for appearing to give equal weight to Putin’s denial of election interference and U.S. intelligence agencies’ findings. He praised Putin as a “strong man” and emphasized their positive relationship, despite ongoing tensions between the U.S. and Russia. Trump’s book provides insight into his interactions with foreign leaders and his views on global politics. Overall, the book portrays a combative and defiant Trump who continues to defend his actions and decisions as president.
