Netflix’s That ‘90s Show, a sequel to the hit Fox sitcom That ‘70s Show, is set to return to the streaming service in two parts starting this summer. The first part of the show, consisting of 10 episodes, debuted on Netflix in January 2023 and was well-received by audiences. The second part of That ‘90s Show is scheduled to premiere on June 27, followed by the third part on October 24. The show is set in the mid-1990s in Point Place, Wisconsin, the same location as the original series.

That ‘90s Show features Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp reprising their roles as Red and Kitty Forman, the parents of Eric Forman from That ‘70s Show. Topher Grace returned as a guest star, along with Laura Prepon, Wilmer Valderrama, Ashton Kutcher, and Mila Kunis. The show is set 15 years after the events of That ‘70s Show and introduces the character of Leia Forman, played by Callie Haverada, who stays with her grandparents for the summer.

In addition to the returning cast members, That ‘90s Show introduces a new group of teen characters, including Mace Coronel as Jay, the son of Michael and Jackie Kelso. Other new characters include Gwen, Nate, Ozzie, and Nikki. The show will continue to focus on the crazy exploits of a small group of teens in Point Place, Wisconsin, similar to the original series. The trailer for the upcoming episodes also features original That ‘70s Show stars Laura Prepon, Don Stark, and Tommy Chong.

While the first season of That ‘90s Show included guest appearances from Topher Grace, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Wilmer Valderrama, none of the stars appear in the announcement trailer for the return of the series. Mila Kunis confirmed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that neither she nor Kutcher would be returning to the show. The couple’s characters were reintroduced through the introduction of their son in the series. Danny Masterson, who played Steven Hyde in That ‘70s Show, was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison after being convicted of rape in 2023.

Fans of That ‘70s Show are eagerly anticipating the return of That ‘90s Show for its second and third parts this summer. The show has been praised for its nostalgic look back at the 1990s and for bringing back beloved characters from the original series. With the addition of new characters and storylines, That ‘90s Show promises to continue the legacy of its predecessor while capturing the spirit of the times. Viewers can look forward to more details about the upcoming episodes as the premiere date draws near on Netflix.
