Jared Ravizza, a 26-year-old man suspected of stabbing six people and potentially killing another individual, was described as a “weirdo” by neighbors. Known for his obsession with working out and his appearance, Jared sported toned, tanned, and blond flowing locks during the Covid pandemic. He and his father, Jason Ravizza, who is a mental health counselor, shared a close relationship and a passion for fitness. Their sudden change in appearance, including dyed blond hair and a Californian surfer look, raised eyebrows among neighbors. Jason, who was also a school counselor, would pump dumbbells while wearing a weighted vest as he walked around the neighborhood.

Following a two-year absence, Jason Ravizza mysteriously reappeared at his home recently, leaving neighbors curious about what had transpired. Jared, on the other hand, was described as standoffish and unfriendly, with a more feminine appearance in recent months. Court documents also revealed that Jared had been involved in an altercation with his father in April, leading to his arrest and a mental health evaluation. Despite being released from the hospital, Jared faced charges of assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. In addition, he is a suspect in a murder investigation in Deep River, Connecticut.

The series of unprovoked attacks allegedly carried out by Jared began at a movie theater in Braintree, Massachusetts, where he attacked four girls between the ages of 9 and 17. He then proceeded to a McDonald’s in Plymouth, where he slashed two employees before fleeing in a Porsche SUV. Following a chase by state police, Jared crashed the vehicle in Sandwich, Massachusetts, resulting in his arrest and treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. While the victims of the attacks were treated for their injuries, none were deemed to be life-threatening.

Neighbors were taken aback by the sudden changes in appearance and behavior exhibited by Jared and his father, Jason. The father-son duo, who were previously close and shared a passion for fitness, underwent transformations during the Covid pandemic. Jared’s adoption of a more feminine look and identification as “she” on social media was seen as part of an identity change. Additionally, his alteration of his name and involvement in a violent incident with his father added to the concern surrounding his mental health. Despite facing several charges and being a suspect in a murder investigation, Jared is set to be arraigned in court in Plymouth. The community remains shaken by the series of violent events involving a man described as a “weirdo” by those who knew him.
