According to a statement from the Governorship, the Provincial Gendarmerie Command and the Keçiören District Gendarmerie Command teams conducted an operation to capture the wanted individuals. The teams were able to locate a suspect, V.K., who had been on the run for 18 years after being involved in the murder of N.K in the village of Dişlinar in the district on August 10, 2006.

After a three-day physical surveillance in the district, the suspect was captured in Keçiören, Ankara. V.K had been wanted for the crime of “premeditated murder” for nearly two decades.

The suspect was taken into custody and later arrested by the judicial authorities after completing the necessary procedures at the gendarmerie.

This successful operation was the result of a joint effort between the JASAT and the Keçiören District Gendarmerie Command. The teams worked diligently to trace and capture the wanted individual.

The Governorship’s statement emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination between law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and security of the public. The successful capture of the suspect demonstrates the commitment of the authorities to bringing justice to the victims and their families.

The case is now in the hands of the judicial system, and the suspect will face trial for his involvement in the murder case. The arrest of V.K. serves as a reminder that law enforcement agencies are dedicated to pursuing and capturing fugitives to bring them to justice.
