Two suspected members of a mini-bike “gang” were arrested in connection with an attack on actor Ian Ziering that occurred on New Year’s Eve. Jacob Esteban Hernandez, 20, and Angie Tereza Guizar, 40, were taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department and charged with felony vandalism and assault with a deadly weapon. Ziering, famous for his role in “Beverly Hills, 90210,” was involved in a confrontation with the group of bikers, known as the 605 minibike gang, on Hollywood Blvd.

Video footage captured the shocking incident, showing Ziering arguing with one of the bikers before the group attacked him while his 12-year-old daughter was in the car. Ziering was surrounded by at least four bikers who stopped in front of his vehicle in traffic. The footage showed Ziering throwing the first punch before running away from the group. The bikers then vandalized Ziering’s car while his daughter was still inside, causing damage to the windshield and side mirror.

Ziering later shared a statement about the incident, revealing that both he and his daughter were unharmed. He expressed concern about the boldness of such groups that disrupt public safety and peace, calling for effective law enforcement responses to such behavior. Ziering condemned the hooliganism on the streets and the authorities’ insufficient response to such incidents, emphasizing the importance of personal and community safety.

The arrests of Hernandez and Guizar were made after warrants were served at their respective homes early on Tuesday morning. The LAPD is now submitting the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office to determine if charges will be filed against the suspects. Hernandez’s bail has been set at $50,000, while Guizar’s bail is $30,000. Ziering reiterated his commitment to standing up against intimidation and misconduct, emphasizing the need for personal and community safety in the face of such incidents.

The attack on Ziering by the mini-bike gang highlights broader concerns about the growing issue of such behavior in public spaces. Ziering’s response to the incident reflects his advocacy for safety and his belief in the importance of addressing misconduct and threats to public peace. The incident has sparked discussions about the need for more robust law enforcement responses to such incidents and the prevention of similar occurrences in the future. Ziering’s statement following the attack resonated with many who share his concerns about the safety and security of communities in the face of such intimidating behavior.
