Emilio Garcia, a former cameraman for rapper Megan Thee Stallion, has filed a lawsuit against the superstar, claiming that he was subjected to a hostile work environment. Garcia alleges that Megan forced him to witness her engaging in sexual activity with another woman while on tour in Ibiza, Spain in June 2022. The incident left Garcia feeling uncomfortable and shocked, as he was in the car at the time and was told by Megan not to discuss what he saw.

In addition to the alleged sexual incident, Garcia claims that Megan berated him during the same trip to Spain, making comments like “fat bitch” and telling him to spit out his food. He felt degraded by the comments, especially coming from someone who advocates for body positivity like Megan. After the trip, Megan reportedly changed Garcia’s pay from a monthly rate to a “pay-per-task” system, leading to a decrease in bookings and a change in how he was treated.

As a result of the alleged mistreatment, Garcia claims to have suffered substantial losses in earnings, employment benefits, injuries, emotional distress, medical expenses, and more. He describes enduring relentless sexual and fat-shaming comments that have caused him to experience mounting anxiety, depression, and physical distress. In June 2023, Roc Nation terminated Garcia, which he believes was in retaliation for his complaints about the illegal behavior and payment issues.

Garcia’s attorney, Ron Zambrano, claims that Megan needs to pay his client what he is owed, acknowledge her behavior, and stop engaging in sexual harassment and fat-shaming. Zambrano also suggests that Megan should not have put Garcia in a position where he had to witness her engaging in sexual activity with another woman. The attorney points out that exposing this behavior to employees is illegal, and that Garcia’s termination was unjust.

The lawsuit also names Megan Thee Stallion Entertainment, Inc., Hot Girl Touring, LLC, and Roc Nation as defendants, accusing them of harassment and labor code violations. Garcia’s attorney, who also represents Lizzo’s harassment accusers, believes that the behavior exhibited by Megan and the mentioned entities is inappropriate and illegal. Despite these allegations, Megan has not addressed the situation publicly, and her representatives have not responded to requests for comment from Page Six.

The lawsuit sheds light on the alleged mistreatment that Emilio Garcia experienced while working as Megan Thee Stallion’s cameraman. His claims of being subjected to a hostile work environment, harassment, and denial of proper payment raise concerns about the treatment of employees in the entertainment industry. As the case unfolds, it will be interesting to see how Megan and the other defendants respond to the accusations and how the legal system addresses the issues raised by Garcia.
