In celebration events organized by the Iskilip District Governorship and the Iskilip Municipality, citizens gathered at the City Park and walked with torches to the Martyrdom Monument. During the walk, citizens carried a 100-meter-long Turkish flag. Iskilip District Governor Ramazan Polat stated in his speech that they were trying to celebrate Youth Week in Iskilip in the best way possible. Mayor Ismail Çizikci also mentioned that they would organize events in the district for national and religious holidays to raise the national and spiritual feelings of the citizens to the highest level.

In addition to the celebrations, a welcome ceremony was held for national wrestler Ozdenur Ozmez, who won the European Championship in the 62 kg category for women at the European Wrestling Championships Under-15 held in Greece. Ozmez was welcomed with drum and zurna music and cheers, and District Governor Ramazan Polat and Mayor Ismail Çizikci presented her with flowers.
