Kelly Hyland, a former cast member of “Dance Moms,” recently shared her experience being diagnosed with breast cancer just eight months after receiving a clear mammogram result. The 53-year-old initially became concerned when she experienced significant weight loss without changing her daily routine. When she discovered a lump in her breast in late March, she promptly scheduled another mammogram, which revealed a mass that was later confirmed to be stage 1 grade 3 invasive carcinoma. Despite the shock of the sudden diagnosis and the challenges ahead, Hyland has embarked on her treatment journey with the support of her children, family, friends, and former co-stars.

After learning about her diagnosis, Hyland shared the news with her children, Paige and Brooke Hyland, as well as her son Josh Hyland. Currently undergoing her second round of chemotherapy treatments out of a total of six, she is also preparing for surgery, radiation, and 11 more chemotherapy sessions. Despite the support she receives, Hyland has found it difficult to accept help from others, as she is naturally independent and used to caring for those around her. However, she recognizes the necessity of leaning on others during this challenging time and appreciates the care and support she has received from her loved ones.

Hyland expressed her shock at how rapidly her cancer had progressed within just eight months, going from clear results to a malignant mass in a short period of time. She described feeling both scared and overwhelmed at the thought of facing such a daunting battle. While she acknowledges the tough road ahead, she is grateful for the people in her life who are willing to help and support her through her treatment. Despite her initial discomfort with accepting assistance, Hyland understands the importance of allowing others to care for her as she navigates through her cancer journey.

As she continues her treatment, Hyland is learning to come to terms with the challenges of accepting help and relying on others for support. She recognizes the necessity of allowing those around her to take care of her during this difficult time and appreciates the outpouring of love and assistance she has received from her support system. Despite the obstacles she faces, Hyland remains determined to fight against her breast cancer diagnosis with courage and grace, showing resilience in the face of adversity. With the ongoing support of her loved ones, she is determined to navigate through her treatment and emerge stronger on the other side of this challenging experience.
