Kathie Lee Gifford recently revealed that she was hospitalized with a fractured pelvis while recovering from hip replacement surgery. The 70-year-old former talk show host injured her pelvis in two places after moving 300 books during book signings in Nashville and then tripping while rushing to meet a friend at her home. Gifford admitted that she weakened her body by pushing herself too hard and ended up back in the hospital with a painful fracture.

During her second hospital visit, Gifford underwent physical therapy, which she described as a humbling experience. She acknowledged that as she ages, her body changes and she needs to slow down and take care of herself. Gifford mentioned that she is currently taking things easy and following the signs that it is time to relax and enjoy life. Despite the pain and challenges of her recent injuries, Gifford remains positive and optimistic about her recovery journey.

Gifford previously underwent hip replacement surgery due to her active lifestyle causing her hips to deteriorate. Her surgeon credited Gifford’s adventurous life, including climbing mountains and wearing high heels, as the reasons for her needing the surgery. Gifford did not let the surgery slow her down and quickly recovered, even ditching her walker within two days post-surgery. She is grateful for her surgeon’s expertise and is now focused on healing from her recent pelvic fracture.

In addition to her health struggles, Gifford recently released a new book titled Herod and Mary: The True Story of the Tyrant King and the Mother of the Risen Savior. This book adds to Gifford’s growing collection of autobiographical works and children’s books that she has published since 2010. Her successful career has spanned from cohosting popular television shows like Today and Live! to acting in films such as Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!

Despite the setbacks with her health, Gifford remains optimistic and determined to recover fully. She recognizes the need to slow down and take care of herself, focusing on the signs that indicate it is time to relax and enjoy life. Gifford’s positive attitude and resilience have been evident throughout her recovery journey, inspiring others to prioritize their well-being and listen to their bodies. As she continues to heal, Gifford looks forward to returning to her farm and finding moments of peace and serenity amid her busy life.
