He described the experience as rough and tough, feeling as though he was always on the receiving end of his mother’s actions. Collin claimed that he spent most of the day in the containment room, away from his siblings and without much interaction with the outside world. He alleged that his hands and feet were zip-tied together, and the door was bolt-locked with cameras watching him.
Jon Gosselin, Collin’s father, confirmed to The Sun that the room where Kate allegedly confined Collin is still in the house. He shared that a friend’s in-laws who bought the house later questioned the purpose of the room with a bed and lock on the outside, indicating that it was a terrifying experience for Collin. Jon and Kate got divorced in 2009, with her receiving primary custody of all eight children. Collin spent several years in a health institution before deciding to live with Jon full-time with his sister Hannah in 2022.
While Kate has not publicly responded to the abuse claims, her lawyer stated that she did not intentionally harm Collin and did what she did to protect herself and her family. He mentioned that Collin exhibited troubled behavior as a child, implying that Kate’s actions were in response to his behavior.
