Jena Sims and Brooks Koepka are having a “full-circle” moment at the 2024 Masters tournament this week, having first met at the event in 2015. Bringing their 8-month-old son Crew to this year’s tournament, the couple is excited to relive the success Koepka enjoyed in 2023 when he won his fifth major championship. Sims, a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie this year, feels grateful for the journey that led her to this moment after being selected as a finalist in the magazine’s Swimsearch.

Sims initially felt nervous about sharing the news of her pregnancy during interviews but found the experience to be fulfilling after being open about her new journey. She embraced her pregnancy by walking the Miami Swim Week runway at seven months pregnant, receiving an outpouring of support from fans. Sims believes that Sports Illustrated represents diversity and inclusivity, which she experienced firsthand during her photoshoot in Cancun just four months postpartum.

After her successful photoshoot, Sims and the crew celebrated with tequila, creating a memorable bonding moment. She is eagerly awaiting the finished product and cherishing Crew’s milestone moments, including his public debut at the Par 3 event. The couple had decided to let Crew participate in the event after a Valentine’s Day dinner conversation, marking his first public appearance.

Sims and Koepka have become even greater teammates since Crew’s birth, having spent 20 days in the NICU before being released in August. Sims has partnered with Little Words Project to launch the “On in 2” bracelet, with sales proceeds going to the NICU at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. The couple, along with their dog Cove, are now a family of four and are in awe of seeing Koepka as a father and how they have adjusted to parenthood.

Sims feels thankful for the support they received during Crew’s time in the NICU and hopes to raise awareness and funds for other families in need. She finds joy in seeing Crew’s reaction to Koepka and believes they make a great team, supporting each other through the challenges of parenthood and the balancing act of professional and personal life. Sims and Koepka’s journey, from meeting at the Masters to now being parents, illustrates their growth as individuals and as a couple. They continue to support each other’s endeavors while cherishing special moments as a family.
