The Country Music Association Awards recently honored several artists in various categories. Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen, and Lainey Wilson were nominated for Entertainer of the Year, with Wilson ultimately winning Female Artist of the Year. Kelsea Ballerini, Ashley McBryde, Megan Moroney, Kacey Musgraves, and Lainey Wilson were up for the award, with Wilson taking home the trophy. In the Male Artist of the Year category, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, and Morgan Wallen were nominated, with Stapleton winning.

Dan + Shay won the Duo of the Year category, beating out Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Maddie & Tae, and The War and Treaty. Old Dominion won Group of the Year, competing against Flatland Cavalry, Lady A, Little Big Town, and Zac Brown Band. In the New Female Artist of the Year category, Kassi Ashton, Ashley Cooke, Hannah Ellis, Kylie Morgan, and Megan Moroney were nominated, with Moroney coming out on top. For New Male Artist of the Year, Ernest, Kameron Marlowe, Dylan Scott, Conner Smith, and Nate Smith were up for the award, with Nate Smith taking the win.

Gold won the New Duo or Group of the Year category, competing against Neon Union, Restless Road, and Tigirlily. Chris Stapleton’s album “Higher” won Album of the Year, beating out Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Morgan Wallen, and Kelsea Ballerini. Luke Combs’ song “Fast Car” won Single of the Year, while Jordan Davis’ “Next Thing You Know” took home the Song of the Year award.

Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson won Music Event of the Year for their collaboration “Save Me.” Parker McCollum’s “Burn It Down” won Visual Media of the Year, while Jessie Jo Dillon won Songwriter of the Year. Chris Stapleton was named Artist-Songwriter of the Year, beating out Zach Bryan, Ernest, and Hardy. Overall, the Country Music Association Awards celebrated a diverse group of talented artists across various categories.
