James Middleton, the brother of Princess Kate Middleton, is set to release his memoir titled Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life. The book explores James’ interactions with members of the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth II. James has spent time with the royals at Sandringham and even attended Princess Kate’s birthday party at the estate after Queen Elizabeth agreed to host a “teatime gathering” for the occasion.

In an excerpt from Meet Ella published by the Daily Mail, James recalls his nervousness when meeting the Queen at Sandringham. Despite having met her previously, James found himself flustered and breathless when he almost ran into the Queen upon arrival. He had been rehearsing the correct way to address the monarch on the way to Norfolk, but in his panic, he mistakenly greeted her as “Your Royal Majesty.”

However, rather than causing offense, James’ incorrect greeting was found humorous by those in attendance, including the Queen. She was warm and inviting towards James, making him feel at ease in her presence. Queen Elizabeth even offered him something to eat, showing the welcoming nature of the royal family towards Princess Kate’s family.

Despite the initial nerves of spending time with the royal family, James’ memoir highlights the positive experience he had with them. The Middletons were embraced by the Queen, who made sure to make them feel comfortable during their time at Sandringham. Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life is set to be released later this month, providing an intimate look at James Middleton’s life and interactions with the royal family.
