Jason Kelce, a former Philadelphia Eagles player who is now a part of the ESPN “Monday Night Countdown” crew, returned to Philly for a game against the Atlanta Falcons and interviewed his former teammate, Jalen Hurts. The conversation was heartfelt, with Kelce asking Hurts if he missed him, to which Hurts responded that he did. Hurts expressed his respect for Kelce, citing his ability to handle a lot of responsibility while always putting his teammates first. The two shared words of love and ended the interview with a hug.

During the interview, Kelce also discussed the newest Eagle, Saquon Barkley, and the play called the “Tush Push” that didn’t work well the previous week. Kelce reminisced about the quarterback sneak play, a staple for the Eagles, and how he used to bury himself into the opposition to help Hurts get crucial yards. Despite missing some aspects of playing, Kelce admitted that he doesn’t miss shoving himself into a defensive line anymore.

As the interview came to a close, Kelce and Hurts shared another moment of love and encouragement for each other. Kelce accidentally told Hurts to go dominate, but quickly corrected himself, saying he is independent now. However, Hurts responded with determination, expressing that they both know what time it is when it comes to competing on the field. The bond between the two former teammates was evident throughout the interview.

Even though Kelce is now working in the media, where remaining neutral is important, he found it difficult to not root for his former teammates, especially after spending all 13 of his NFL seasons with the Eagles. His love and support for Hurts and other teammates were clear during the interview, showcasing the strong relationships that are formed within the football community. Kelce’s transition from player to media personality has allowed him to continue connecting with his former teammates and sharing his passion for the game.
