Boya, the sister brand of Saramonic, has launched its all-new Botanic wireless microphone system called the Boyamic. This system is designed for content creators and offers onboard recording for backup purposes. The Boyamic system shares many features with the premium RØDE Wireless Pro kit, offering more than just a wireless microphone with built-in mics and an input for a Lavalier mic on the transmitter units.

The Boyamic includes two small transmitting mics that connect wirelessly to the receiver unit, allowing live sound transmission to cameras, smartphones, or audio recorders. Each transmitter unit has onboard recording capabilities, allowing for up to 15 hours of recording as a safety track or in situations where the transmitters are out of range. Boya claims a signal operating distance of up to 300 meters, providing excellent signal strength for various shooting conditions.

With a 3-in-1 design, the Boyamic can connect to almost any recording device with its modular USB-C and Apple Lightning adapters. The system also features a line-out analog jack for feeding sound to video cameras, DSLRs, or digital audio recorders. The onboard recording function on the two transmitter units provides an additional backup in case of wireless connection issues, ensuring a second version of audio is always available for use.

The Boyamic transmitter units are compact and can easily clip onto clothing, offering a 48kHz sampling rate, 24-bit depth, and a signal-to-noise ratio of 90dB. The system can handle sound pressures up to 120dB, providing clear and deep audio quality. Unlike other wireless microphone systems, the Boyamic includes mic inputs and comes with two Lavalier mics, making it easy to hide the transmitter units on talent while using the Lavalier mics.

The receiver unit of the Boyamic features a clear OLED screen for adjusting settings, two buttons for easy control, and a headphone output for monitoring. The system comes with a charging case that provides up to 50 hours of total operating time, with each device capable of operating for up to 10 hours on a single charge. The case can be charged via USB Type-C cable or wirelessly using a Qi charging mat.

Overall, the Boyamic offers excellent value for money with its versatility, onboard recording feature, and compatibility with Lavalier mics. It is suitable for content creators, podcasters, and documentary producers who require a reliable wireless microphone system. The Boyamic is now available for purchase at a price of $159 and includes two transmitters, one receiver, two Lavalier mics, and all necessary cables for setup.
