An investigation is ongoing regarding the cable car accident in the Konyaaltı district, and security camera footage from the control room during the incident has been revealed. The footage shows a passenger getting out of the cabin and warning the automation officer, Serkan Yellice, in the control room, prompting Yellice to shut down the system. However, the security camera footage shows that Yellice, after talking on his cell phone and stopping the operation, restarted the system without performing any checks.

In the continuation of the footage, it can be seen that the stopped cable car system started moving again, and then went into emergency stop mode. The camera footage also captured Yellice talking fervently on his cell phone and relaying the errors on the screen to the other party. Shortly after the accident, Yellice is seen leaving the room and running away.

In the ongoing investigation of the cable car accident that occurred on April 12 in the Konyaaltı district, the company operating the cable car line, ANET, its former general manager and current Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz, ANET Deputy General Manager Ahmet Buğra Samsunlu, mechanical engineer Okan Erol, owner of Megatower maintenance company Serdar Tezcan, maintenance company’s maintenance and automation officer Serkan Yellice, were all arrested on charges of ‘causing death and injury by negligence’.
