Over the past day, Russian attacks against Ukraine have resulted in the deaths of five people and injuries to 17 others. The town of Kurakhove was also targeted, leading to the death of two individuals and injuries to two more.

Russian forces have also carried out strikes in Kherson Oblast, hitting 14 settlements including the regional center of Kherson. One person was injured in these recent attacks, according to the Kherson Oblast Governor. Additionally, Zaporizhzhia Oblast and Sumy Oblast were targeted by Russian attacks, with multiple explosions reported. While no casualties were reported in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy experienced at least 215 explosions with no damage to civilian infrastructure.

The Battle of Chasiv Yar has begun, with Ukrainian forces defending the city that is key to Russia’s plans. The soldiers on the ground are identified by first names and callsigns to adhere to security protocols. As the conflict intensifies, Ukrainian forces are stationed in Chasiv Yar, facing challenges and dangers while working to protect the city from Russian attacks.
