A violent incident occurred in the Yemişli neighborhood of Trabzon at around 1:00 pm the day before yesterday. Furkan Korkmaz, driving his car on the Black Sea Coastal Road, got into an argument with Bayram T., the driver of another car going in the same direction, over the issue of yielding the right of way.
Korkmaz fired a gun from his vehicle at the car in front of him and then fled the scene. Bayram Tepegöz, who was hit in the abdomen by the bullet while behind the wheel, was left bleeding and immediately reported the situation to the emergency call center.

Upon receiving the report, the police and medical team were dispatched to the scene. Bayram Tepegöz was taken to Sürmene State Hospital by ambulance and underwent surgery. Furkan Korkmaz was later apprehended by police officers in Maçka district and taken into custody.
During his statement at the police station, Furkan Korkmaz reportedly claimed that he aimed his gun without a specific target, saying, “I asked for the right of way with my horn, but he refused. He cut me off on the road. When I asked for the reason and he insulted me heavily and threatened me with a gun. When he reached for the gun, I aimed my gun uncontrollably, and it accidentally went off. I found out from the police that the driver was also injured.”

Following the necessary procedures, Furkan Korkmaz was taken to court and subsequently arrested by the judge. Bayram Tepegöz, after undergoing surgery at Sürmene State Hospital, was transferred to Kaşüstü Training and Research Hospital for further treatment. It was reported that he remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
