A bomb scare occurred in the Fırat neighborhood in the afternoon. Workers noticed a handmade explosive device during excavations for natural gas pipeline installation.
Police and precautionary health teams were sent to the scene following the report. The area was cordoned off with a security tape and bomb disposal teams were notified.
It is estimated that the handmade explosive device was planted during the trench incidents in 2015.
