Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who served time in prison for her involvement in the murder of her abusive mother, posted a heartfelt TikTok video on Mother’s Day honoring the maternal figures who have positively impacted her life over the past eight-and-a-half years. She turned off the comments on the post to avoid negativity and discussed the conflicting emotions she feels on Mother’s Day, choosing to remember the good in her biological mother. Blanchard expressed her own feelings of guilt, anger, grief, and resentment towards her mother, emphasizing that other people’s opinions do not matter in this regard.

Blanchard revealed that she has been learning how to forgive her mother and hopes that she is in heaven. Despite the challenges and regrets she faces, she still chooses to honor her mother on Mother’s Day by saying a prayer for her. In addition to remembering her biological mother, Blanchard acknowledged the positive influences of her stepmom, Kristy Blanchard, her ex-fiancé’s mother, and other role models she admires. She expressed gratitude to the women who have supported her and showed her love when she felt unlovable, promising to continue to strive to make them proud and show them what she can achieve.

Since her release from prison in December 2023, Blanchard has been working on docuseries about her case and has been active on social media, keeping fans updated on her life as a free woman. She briefly deleted her TikTok and Instagram accounts in March but made a comeback on May 1, sharing a video where she debuted her new highlighted blonde hair. In the Mother’s Day video, Blanchard thanked the women in her life for their love and support, making it clear that their acceptance means everything to her. Despite her difficult past, Blanchard is committed to moving forward and continuing to grow as a person.
