Taylor Swift was spotted celebrating Travis Kelce’s trick play during a Kansas City Chiefs game against the New Orleans Saints. The 34-year-old singer looked excited and giddy after Kelce made a lateral pass to teammate Samaje Perine in the second quarter. She reacted to the play with a little dance and enthusiastically patted her dad, Scott, on the shoulder. Swift, who was dressed in a plaid skirt set and glitter freckles, seemed to be having a great time at the game.
Despite missing the last two Chiefs games, Swift attended this particular game after skipping the match-ups in Atlanta and Los Angeles. It was speculated that the singer’s absence was due to trouble in paradise, but insiders revealed that she was busy preparing for her upcoming Eras Tour that kicks off on Oct. 18 in Miami. Safety was also a concern for Swift, especially after canceling shows in Vienna due to a terrorist threat. Arrowhead Stadium seemed to be a safe place for her, but traveling to new stadiums raised security concerns.
There were talks that Kelce’s slow start to the 2024 season could have been a factor in Swift missing the games, but sources mentioned that both Kelce and Swift are tough individuals. In addition to attending the Chiefs game, Swift was in town for Kelce’s 35th birthday celebrations. Kelce hosted his annual Kelce Car Jam, a charitable event that raises money for his foundation, 87 and Running. While Swift didn’t attend the charity event, Kelce’s family, including his parents and brother, as well as Chiefs teammates, showed their support.
During the car show, Travis mentioned that Swift would be in town for his game against the Saints. After the successful charity event, Kelce, along with his brother and teammate Patrick Mahomes, attended a comedy show. Details of when Swift arrived in Missouri are unclear, but the couple was expected to celebrate something after the game, similar to how they have spent time together in previous weeks. Despite the hectic schedules of both Kelce and Swift, they seem to make time for each other and enjoy each other’s company. Their relationship appears to be going strong as they support each other in their respective endeavors.
